The ambulance worth of Rs. 21,973,000 which was given to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Council and Local Government by Kawaguchi Local Authority of Japan through Japanese Sai Net has been provided to Dehiatttakandiya Hospital under the patronage of the Secretary of that Ministry, Mr. Neel Bandara Hapuhinne at the ministry premises. By representing that occasion, the Secretary of Ministry of Investment Promotion, M.M.Naymuideen, Additional Secretary, E.S.G. Edirisinghe and other ministry officials, Dr. Jayasundara Bandara (Project Director, Asian Development Bank) officers of Japanese Kawaguchi Institute and Sai Net Institute and a group of staff including Dr. P.P. Wijesinghe of Deiattakandiya Hospital had participated for this event.
