The work of Hadagiriya Bridge to be constructed in Weligepola Divisional Secretariat Division of Rathnapura District implemented by Rural Bridges Construction Project under State Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government has been commenced at the auspicious time on 13.09.2023.

This bridge is being constructed by precast Bridges Project implemented under Netherland loan aids. The estimated expenditure is Rs. 180 million for this bridge with 52 m in length and 6 m in breadth.

Hon. Minister of Wildlife and Forest Conservation, Pavithra Vanniarachchi, Hon. Member of Parliament, Muditha De Zoysa, former Chairman of Provincial Council, Mr. Kanchana Jayaratne, former Chairman of Weligepola Pradeshiya Sabha, Director General of Wildlife, Engineer of Provincial Rural Bridges Project of Sabaragamuwa Provincial council and other public officers had participated for this event.
